Eat fresh on the move

StartFragmentJVH'ers, Let me preface this post by telling you I'm a food lover. I thoroughly enjoy a good meal. I recently got home from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The trip was for a destination wedding and vacation combined. It was nothing short of amazing, but you'll be surprised at the first thing I noticed other than the great weather and beautiful beaches... The farm fresh food! It's funny how such a sophisticated country like the US is only recently bringing back the notion of eating REAL food as opposed to processed junk. Everything from the fruit to the meat and fish was absolutely delicious. I even had a few coconuts chopped right off the tree so I could drink the

4 Requirements to be a better Athlete

JVH'ers, Ever notice how in sports and business there just seems to be those rare people that stand way above all their counterparts? 99% of the time that's not by accident. Coach defined as "a person who teaches and trains the members of a sports team and makes decisions about how the team plays during games". This explanation is like saying a Porsche 911 is just a car that can get you from point A to B, WRONG. Being a good... wait scratch that... being a great coach is much more than teams and games. Just like a 911 is just more than point A to point B mode of transportation. To some of us, coaching is not just about helping athletes become stronger, faster, and better gametime players. Being a role model for atheletes to look up in order to better their life is what we consider "coaching" here at JVH. Learning how to live a victorious life outside of the gym

Here's your shot to throw down some bodybuilding isolation training like curls, shrugs, tricep extensions, shoulder raises and or bodyweight training. 2. Drop sets, after strength work. Still train heavy with low reps of 6 or less, but add 1 or 2 back off sets after your last working set. Typically you'll take off about 30% of your last set and rep out at least 8-12. 3. Eat mor
